2017 Conference Review

The 1st Annual Food Safety and Microbiology Conference took place March 20-22, 2017 in Palm Springs, CA and was a success by all measures. Featuring 18 excellent presentations by a variety of dynamic speakers, the conference was full of great discussion from start to finish.

  • Dr. Mickey Parish of the FDA presenting the FDA’s Draft Listeria Guidance.
  • Shawn Stevens of Food Industry Counsel discussing how the Deptartment of Justice is getting involved with foodborne illness investigations.
  • Dr. Jeffrey L. Kornacki of Kornacki Microbiology Solutions discussing how microbes evade preventive controls.
  • Melissa Calicchia of Food Microbiological Laboratories presenting how an effective microbiological quality assurance adds to the bottom line.
